Hello. New to the forum. Can anyone help me display note names on the midi editor when I am zoomed out a fair ways? Is this just a matter of changing the font size that Reaper uses to display midi note names? As it is, the note names disappear when zooming out, rather than the text shrinking to fit. I assume I will have to alter the rtconfig file for this theme so the midi note name font is assigned to one of the eight Walter fonts, but perhaps not. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Edit: I have another question related to the midi editor. What I'm trying to do is add markers to the timeline from within the editor. I added a button to the toolbar to do this by selecting that action from the "main" section, but the button's function changes to become "Step input: Insert note at current -07 semitones." I can imagine this is because the action I selected is meant for the main window view, not for use within the midi editor. Therefore my question becomes: how do I add this action so it can be used by the midi editor "section"? Thanks, that's sort of a two for one question.
you can add the action you want via the 'pass through' action in the midi editor actions... I have mine to add and also to delete markers while inside the midi editor. so you first need a hot key combination for the actions you want to pass through, then in the midi editor you can enter those hot key combo's to those for 'pass through to main...' sorry can't help about the font size lotta variables there, screen size, zoom level, etc.
