PT 6.4 TDM on G5: hardware communication failure

HI, I'm running PT 6.4 TDM on a dual 2 GHz G5. Have a ATTO UL3-D SCSI Card with glyph drive bay, digidesign espansion chassis. Lately we've been seeing DAE erros 6004 or 6028 "unable to communicate with the hardware". Seems to happen when pro tools is not particulary taxed, just playing a session. Has anyone else experience anything like this? Any solutions? Brian
