bx_console always opens as stereo

So, I got the bx_console from PA and can't make it open as mono. I saw a video from Jens Bogren and it automatically opens as mono or stereo, depending on the track he drops it. Any suggestions?

Pro Tools has mono tracks, REAPER does not, it will always output 2 channels (pretty much, and multi-channel tracks notwithstanding). If you want a mono version, just change the stereo mode form analog to digital; this will give you identical left and right channels, which is the same as mono.

Use the VST3 version, and then in "I/O" parameters on the top right of the plugin window you will find the option to request a mono bus for the plugin, which will make it switch to mono. Then save that as a preset or fxchain or track template to call it up quickly.
