This is a piece I've been working on for a bit. Not too much in it yet. No filler instruments, no fine-tuning of the sound. Guitar improv track is to be replaced as it's rather full of minor mistakes. It was the third take, nothing prepared. What I'm looking for is whether concensus is I'm on the right track here. I made the mistake of listening to it too many times, and I've lost objectivity.
It is a pretty fun tune to listen to. What do you mean are you on the right track? In terms of what?

Listenability, more than anything. Is it interesting? Is it boring? I find that once I'm too "invested" in a piece my ability to judge these basic things becomes stunted. This is one of those cases.
