Hi!, If I choose PBC with selection to create chapters on my encoded SVCD, the chapters are not marked at the same point as they are on the DVD. This happens both in 1.0.9 B2 & 1.0.9 B3. The above problem happens specifically if I have a DVD with lets say 30 chapters and I decided that I want to put chapters 1-10 on disc1 11-20 on disc2 and 21-30 on disc3. So, I just rip chapters 1-10 in one folder, 11-20 in another folder and so on. Now when I run the batch file, the chapter marks are not at the right spot and also some of the chpaters are totally lost. Like on disc 2 instead of getting 10 chapters, I just got 8! Is anyone else having the same problem or is it just me? Thanks, Amit
Hi Amit, but if you're doing the whole movie, the chapters are ok - or let's say nearly perfect? As we know that sometimes the chapters can't have the exact same entry point after the re-encoding of the MPEG stream like on the DVD before and are sometmes off by a few milliseconds. ;) And I also have some chapter issues when doing only a few chapters with the internal routines - but never, when doing the wohole movie at once. Hope this helps, Gerti
I don't know why I am getting this problem but it happens everytime I divide the movie into different disc rather than D2S doing it for me. If I encode the whole movie and D2S divides the movie the chapters are OK. But if I difine the CD change points the way I explained in my previous message, I always end up having chapters messed up specially on disc 2 and onwards. Disc 1 is usually ok. Can you try once for yourself to divide the whole movie and then do an encode? Or can someone be so nice to do this test and post his/her results here please. This use to work before for me in the earlier versions. Thanks in advance. -Amit
