Video in Pro Tools LE

Hello everybody... I've got Digi 002 / Pro Tools LE 6.7 / G5 2.5 Dual / Mac OS 10.3.8... ...and I'd like to be able to import video from DVD's into my Pro Tools sessions. As far as I found out from the pdf manual, the only video format that Pro Tools accepts is Quicktime. Does anyone know whether there is any application that converts from DVD to Quicktime on the Mac...? Thanks...

MacTheRipper only goes part way, assuming you need to break the encryption on a DVD in the first place. It will get you to the VOB level, but from there the audio and video need to be extracted into QuickTime, AIFF, MPEG or other available formats. Cinematize is very good for that purpose.

Assuming you are talking DVD-R media that is not copy protected you can use MPEG Stream Clip and the Apple MPEG 2 component for quicktime. See this thread
