How do you Edit Groups of Tracks in Reaper?

Jake, It's the media items rather than the tracks that you want to work on, yes? Select all the media items in the tracks you want to treat as a group (right click and drag to lasso them is often easiest way) and press G. That defines them as a group. Save the file (why not? ;)) Now any time in the future you can select any one of these items and press Ctrl+G to select all items in the group. Now you can drag, copy, select areas, mute, etc, whatever, it will do it to all items in the group.

Thanks...Yes...But... 1. I want to be able to control several tracks at once as well. I want to be able to hit the MUTE or the SOLO button on one track and have all the other drum tracks in my "Drum Group" SOLO or MUTE as well just by hitting hte controls on one of my drum tracks. 2. I want to simultaneously control not only the audio items but also all the track functions that the items live on...volume, pan, solo, mute, re-sizing etc.... How is this done?

... or of course you can simply place them in a folder. The folder controls(volume, mute, solo etc) will work on all tracks in the folder.

Just found this during a search, cool stuff! Also just wanted to add that you can right click on areas in the matrix to make changes easier (I'm sure this is also in the manual).

you guys do realize that Nicholas wrote the User Guide PDF that he generously let's you download for free, eh? I'd be it took him at least two days to write all that [:)] and as a PDF you can search it in Acrobat reader... you know that? Like search term 'folders'... what's the point? RTFM [Refer To Fine Manual] ..now and then???
