Video player read aspect ratio incorrectly

Just load a video with a 1.2121 pixel aspect ratio, which standard DV NTSC widescreen, and Reaper will squish it into 0.9091 when set to auto. It probably does the same thing with WS PAL, but can't confirm since I don't have PAL footage.

Bullshark, do you have problems with the video not following the timeline in REAPER too? I'm getting to the point where I find video unuseable as I can never be sure if it's playing the correct section of video back. I don't understand if it is buggy video handling or something wrong with my mpeg converters. ps I'm mixing and editing 48-track to live music festival video. Nathan >
