I'm working with a songwriter at her house on some tunes, and she just bought a 001. In general, the thing screams on her 'puter (450 bluebox)......one glaring problem: a fade anomoly that I haven't had time to check...any fade that I attempt that is by definition a crossfade comes up with the message about not enough data in the field. When I allow it to move the boundaries into fadeability it creates a crossfade at the beginning or end of one file (whereas 4.3 would have just faded out or in...). There has been no way around this. I know that 5 has a different way of doing fades, and that now it asks you if you want to move if it can't do it. I know that it can't do a fade if there is no data underneath, and I would think that it was me, but when I brought the session home I fixed all the fades in all of the tracks in less than two minutes..same technique... Any thougts? I thought I must have been a moron, but I brought it home and it worked like normal, so maybe I'm just a home-like moron....thanks....
