Envelopes and 'visibility'

gee I hadn't thought to check it against 2.5x... But maybe you're right, if it works that way in 2.5x, then what I'm seeing might be a bug byproduct of integrating the lanes....? Thanks for the reply.

Not familiar withg Live. But being able to roll them up/down would be nice. Once hidden, it sometimes seems to take more than it should to get them back. A 'Show in Lanes' or a (semi) global 'Show Lanes' checkbox on the envelope dialog would be nice. It would also be nice if the envelope 'panels' could be indented a little as a group, to more clearly show what track they belong to, similar to how tracks are indented in folders. This would be in addition to their curved 'cut out' design, which isn't always visible at low track heights. Also, to pick up on a related discussion in another thread (), the basic automation/envelope button should be available per-fader in the Mixer section.

As for visual feedback on hidden but active envelopes, I agree that seems a bit inconsistent, though I do think that is behaving the same as always (nothing changed as far as I can tell). Hidden envelopes in read mode still affect whatever audio they are supposed to affect, but visually, FX knobs will react to the envelope, but track volume and pan won't.
