After I put PT into record- it spits out a second or two of noise (clicks) before it starts rolling. It has no effect on performance and its really no big deal. Just wondering if there's a way to get it to stop making the noise. I feel kind of corny when it happens in front of clients. I'm running PT LE 5.1 (windows) with an Audiomedia card. any idea how to fix it ?

-How are you monitoring: Analog or Digital? -If it's digital what device are you outputting to? -What is the open ended record allocation set to? Try limiting it to 10-30 mins and see if that changes anything. -Are you recording to a SCSI or ATA drive? In addition: -Try and observe whether or not the noise corresponds to drive access. We have had a few cases where drive access noise was being amplified through the amIII analog outputs. Usually a grounding issue or problem with the computer power supply. Brent

I had the exact same problem with my AMIII. But it went away when i selected a region to record to. So i'm guessing changing the open ended record allocation will work for open ended recording. Where do i find that? Also, is there a way to make unchecking the spdif mirroring box stick from one day to the next? Thanks, Steve
