Is the Properties->Audio->Midi Devices->On stop/play Reset CC checkbox turned off? If it isn't, try turning it off.

try each of the 4 CC modes. Relative 1 works on my axiom

thanks for the further help politcat. unfortunately, i must still be missing something..... i selected: automation lane: set active fader (midi CC only) and i see an automation lane for the effect send volume. i can record fader movements done with my mouse, but i don't see where to set MIDI learn for the fader, so i can drive it with the Edirol..... the track is armed, and it's receiving MIDI, but i must be missing a step... so close.... any help would be great. peace

when you're in the actions list window... select automation lane: set active fader (midi CC only) click the Add button at the bottom of the actions window move a controller on the edirol change the envelope mode to latch and record your controller movements when done change the envelope mode to read

remember CC mode? notice that you can set the CC mode when you add in the actions window
