Headlight bulb replacement - remove battery?

I need to replace the headlight bulbs both sides of my S40. Is there an easy way to do this or must I remove the battery as it looks like I have to? I am reluctant to do this as I do not have the radio code!

It is really tight but it is possible. Try to get a hold of some light rubber gloves to avoid touching the glass of the new bulb as this will shorten its life.

Try this... Remove the clamp that secures the battery and you can slide the battery about 4 inches out of the way. You pull the clamp upwards and it will come off. Gives you just enough room to get your hand in.

Hi, I would also recommend that you call a dealer and get your radio code soon as. Some dealers may charge, other don't.. Des. . . ;)

ive got the xenon lights with the powerpack behind the light, if youve got these also its near impossible to get your hands in to change bulbs. Also, watch you dont damage the reflector clips when fitting as the guy before me did leaving me with the bill to fix at next mot

Thanks all. I'll give it a go when it warms up a little! I will try presenting my V5 and see if I can get my radio code. Don't want to be paying for it though! ;)
