Lost rpp, have wav file - recover?

My first recording gig with reaper and I managed to screw up the first set. The end result is the rpp file was trashed but all the saved wav files are present and can be played. I concatenated the files with the program, SOX, and Windows Media player plays them fine. Reaper does not like the wav file built by SOX. RPP-bak-File?

Hi cootcraig. Isn't there any RPP-bak-File. Try searching for the extension RPP-bak, and if you are lucky enough to find one, just copy and repaste this at the same location, then rename the copy to have only the previous name with the extension "RPP" and doubleclick. Hope this helps. Holger

when you get the wavs in, right click and "return item to original position" or something

How I screwed up

Here is the way I screwed up. I stopped recording at intermissions, then hit record before the second set. Not enough experience with Reaper yet. (First gig with Reaper. I'm archive recording for a classical string quartet and have less than a year experience recording). Before too long I realizied the original tracks were recording from the beginning on top of the first set. There was a lot of lead time and no performance was recorded over. I then saved the project and started a new one. When I got home and opened the first project set there was just a minute of recording, no backup rpp, but all the wav files were apparently there.
